By Trent Loos

In this episode of Dakota Trails and Tales, host Trent Loos discusses the dismissed charges against Charles and Heather Maude. In the summer of 2024, Charles and Heather Maude were arrested in front of their two small children, having been accused of stealing federal land. The allegations, which arose over a fence line dispute, have now been dropped by the Trump administration. However, as the Trump administration takes credit, Loos points out a concerning pattern of Executive overreach resulting in the very circumstances the Maude family faced.
